Flutist's
MAPP
The Flutist’s MAPP (Movement Applications for Practice and Performance) is a method developed by Samuel Hood in which flutists explore musical possibilities such as pitch, melody, phrase, duration, and articulation through movement. The Flutist’s MAPP focuses on the idea that our bodies are our instrument and the flute is a tool to help convey our artistic and musical selves.
Here is an episode of Flute 360 podcast where Dr. Heidi Kay Begay interviews me about The Flutist's MAPP. If you have any questions about the method or would like to set up a MAPP lesson or masterclass feel free to contact me.
